What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for the FACE and SKIN?
After drawing your blood, we harvest and concentrate your own bioactive platelets, using an FDA-approved process, then inject them back into key areas of your face, neck, hands, or decolletage.
Treatment areas of face include forehead, under eyes, dark circles under eyes, areas of “crows feet”, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and around the creases of mouth and around lips.
Areas of acne scarring have also been improved over time using PRP.
Treatment of Neck and Hands includes skin of the neck, the chest/cleavage, and the back of the hands to improve skin tone, plumpness, smoothness and firmness, and to reduce signs of aging in those trouble areas.
As a matter of fact, PRP can be injected in pretty much any area that is troublesome!
Here’s why PRP helps!
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) stimulates your body’s own growth factors and stimulates your skin’s stem cells to produce more collagen, grow new cells and rejuvenate the skin where injected. The new cell growth in your skin generated by the Platelet Rich Plasma takes weeks to months, which is why it looks so much better after more time passes. Platelet Rich Plasma lasts.
What’s the Cost for PRP Skin Rejuvenation?
$860 for a single skin treatment, one area (packages are available for multiple treatments)
How frequently should I have PRP Skin Rejuvenation?
Most often PRP is injected every 6-8 weeks for the first 6 months (approx 3 treatments) and then 1-2 times per year after that to keep the skin stem cells rejuvenating. You can continue to have other areas treated prior to next scheduled treatment for an area.
Results and timing always vary depending on age of skin and condition of skin, so its best to discuss this with us.
Is it safe?
The FDA has not imposed regulations on the use of PRP because it comes from the patient’s own body and is not a drug.
PRP has an excellent safety profile as your own blood is being injected back into various levels of your own skin. There is an extremely low likelihood of complications unlike other treatments.
Most common are bleeding, bruising and swelling at the site of injection.
The PRP system that is used at Silver Solutions Med Spa has been proven to concentrate the platelets to 9x what is available by the body itself and has been approved by the FDA.
